Introduction to Wyattisms

A three year old can say some pretty hilarious if not amusing things. I was keeping a log of all the little "Wyattisms" in a word document and then sadly the computer which housed said document was stolen...SO in order to avoid another catostrophic loss of valuable history, I am going to document these phrases here. The blog that keeps on giving...when you least expect.

Just yesterday on our way home from school, Wyatt says, "Mawm- sometimes you are a bery (sic) good mawm..." I respond, "Awww...thanks Buddy!" Wyatt, "and sometimes your not a bery good mawm"

!!

As I dig a little deeper into the statement that can only be described as any mothers worst fear--I come to discover the following: I am a good mom when I put good things in his lunch and not a very good mom when I don't put the the best things in his lunch. He went on to tell me that sometimes other mawms are the best, and sometimes I am the best.

I guess I'll have to carefully consider what goes into his lunch box next week.

Making some changes around here

I am redecorating! ...my blog. Also reformating a little. I've been inspired to write a little more and try and keep this updated. I'll still mostly be documenting Wyatt but maybe a little more about me. Stay tuned for a new and improved blog--starting with a name change - Journey into Motherhood is now Growing Still. Which can be taken as ...I am still growing (thankfully) or I am growing still, learning to be me, learning to be quiet, learning to be reflective. So who knows where this will go? I guess you will have to come back to find out.

How things change

Right after my last entry, our life was flipped upside down and inside out...I am not even sure where to start, but alot has changed around here. I am working full time now and Wyatt is 3! He goes to mother's day out twice a week and then Mackenzie comes the other 3 days. Wyatt is all growed up, as he puts it, "I am big now mom, I am not a baby, I was a baby, but now I am big.". Things Wyatt loves these days-swimming (yesterday he swam under the water with no water wings!), toys (ie. guns, cars, trucks, dress up, trains), being a real cowboy and telling everyone of his adventures. He is fully potty trained now (has been for a while) and let me tell you---it makes everyone's lives so much easier. It is pretty amazing but he basically decided to potty train and then was. He is just so grown up! He talks alot, always observing the passerby, commenting on his surroundings. He is very observant and nothing...I mean nothing gets by him. Example- I got a new iphone, Wyatt comes up to me, "Mom, are you talking on your ipod?"...who knew he knew what an ipod is? He is the sweetest boy, always telling us how he loves us and giving us hugs and kisses. He loves story time and his favorite show is Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. Other then that, we just had his big beach ball birthday party and he recently returned from almost 3 weeks in "Tontana", which is the first time I have been away from him for more then a night! I will try to keep this updated a little more again, but its hard!

Wow. Has it really been that long?

I think I am officially the worlds worst "blogger". Wyatt is two and a half (plus) now. Instead of me telling you all about it, I'll use the 'ol "picture worth a thousand" adage. Enjoy.
