Movin and groovin

Well one more day and we will be official home owners! Of course Wyatt loves to help mama pack..."help" being the operative word here. His favorite thing to do...pull everything out of drawers, unfold the laundry and make any sort of mess possible...whether involving food, clothes, toys or otherwise. Moving is never a fun task to begin with, but chasing around a speedy crawler really puts a damper on the amount of time available for productive packing...as you can see, if only I could pack this little guy up for a while...I might just be able to get something done around here!

Idealism is for idealists

Okay. So Wyatt is 9 and a half months old. We have a problem. He still sleeps in our bed and he still wakes up between every 2-3 hours. So yah. Sometimes you have to re-evaluate. Sometimes you try things and they don't work. Sometimes you have all these hopes of how good your baby will be and how you will never do anything that could cause him "harm". Well after 9 months of sleep deprivation in this house...actually lets be honest, I didn't sleep when I was pregnanat either...Okay, so after 18 months of sleep deprivation, sometimes your ideas have to change. So we did it, we let little Wyatt cry. I think listening to your little baby cry, no wait scream, is one of the hardest, most heartbreaking thing to do. 45 minutes. Then he slept. Not through the night like we hoped. For one hour! So digress...he was back in our bed. Next night....20 minutes of crying. Slept for 2 hours. Next night 2 minutes of crying. Slept for 2 hours. But then last night, 1 hour of crying, 1 hour of sleep. I can't say this is really working. I am giving it 2 weeks to take "effect". We are desperate. Desperate for sleep, desperate for our baby to sleep. Desperate to have our bed back and not worry that Wyatt is doing to dive off it in the middle of the night. I will say that beyond the immediate sadness of letting him cry. When he is awake, he does seem to still love me and trust me, which is one of my biggest fears of letting him cry. When he wakes up, I am there for him, there to cuddle and play. I just hope this works...

Jakey and Wyatt

What are little boys made of? Puppy dog tails and such...at least that is what they tell me!

Hunt for coloured eggs

Nothing beats a Sunday afternoon hunting for candy stuffed in coloured eggs that are hiding in the park. A gleeful little time for the easter elves. The cousins all came out to play...Joey, Zoe, Zayden and Wyatt hunting like little wolves! The Easter Bunny (aka Dani and Hannah) skillfully hid millions of eggs in the park, so there were many to be had for each little munchkin. Well, my commentary on motherhood is quickly becoming a digitized photo album for the people that can't read good but want to. I promise more introspection on my journey to come.

Lemons from Mamas Lemonade

Wyatt's first lemon was a photagraphic hit as you can see! We have been doing a lot of travelling lately and sometimes mama has to try new things to keep the little guy occupied...well this really got his attention!

Hopity Hop

The easter bunny has come a little early this year! My little bun bun wanted to show off his ears. Well of course I couldn't resist these little ears...probobly better suited for a Ruby than a Wyatt...but it is Wyatt's first easter after all. Well we are all really looking forward to easter this year even though Zach already ate all the candy. We are having a BIG party for Zach's 30th Birthday on Saturday night and all his sisters are going to be here. My mom and the girls are going to come up from Texas too, so we will have a full house!!
And speaking of houses, we bought one! Yep our first Okie la homa. Thats oklahomian for home. Well its a little fixer upper just down the street with a much bigger yard for little bunnies to hop around in! We are looking forward to being in a bigger place and of course our first home! Woohoo, I can paint!! Happy Easter!
